Your story reminds me of the one time I ever attended a camp as a camper (as opposed to staff). I really hated almost everything about it except for the one night we slept under the stars instead of in our cabin. I was frightened and distressed and then I looked at the stars--more than I had ever seen at once at the time--and started thinking about God. I calmed all the way down and slept great and camp went much better after that.

That’s so cool, Jenn! I never cease to be amazed at how God shows up amid the mediocre Christian attempts to facilitate God showing up (if that makes sense). 😊

Haha! Totally makes sense.

Today in The Listening Post (https://the-pilgrimage.org/home-2/get-connected/online-spiritual-conversation/) we were talking about Philippians 1:12-18a, and wondering about how Paul can just be like, "As long as people are talking about Jesus..." when there are so many not just mediocre but BAD actors talking about Jesus. But we concluded that in the end, God is still perfectly capable of showing up. It's astonishing.
